Nutella Mug Cake
4 tablespoons self rising flour
4 tablespoons white granulated sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons Nutella
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
1. Combine all ingredients in a large coffee mug. Whisk well with a fork until smooth. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 – 3 minutes. (Time depends on microwave wattage. Mine took 1 /2 minutes.) Top with whipped cream and a little chocolate sauce if desired.
2. Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
Note: Depending on the wattage of your microwave, you may have to increase cooking time.
Makes 1 very large serving.
So, I used the recipe above. I found it on the internet and tried it today :)
But I did some changes.
First, I don’t really like something too sweet. So instead of using 3 tablespoons of nutella, I only used 2 tablespoons. It’s already chocolaty without nutella. But if you really like chocolate, you surely can put 3 or more^^
Second, I didn’t have olive or vegetable oil. I used butter :P I put it first on the microwave for 30 seconds till it melted before I actually use it.
Third, I made them in a bowl before I put them on mugs. This recipe is for a really large serving. I’m Asian, I don’t eat so much :””) So I divided them into 2 mugs, and still, they turned out to be so big for me….
Fourth, I didn’t have self rising flour. You can change them by using all-purpose flour and put one teaspoon of baking powder to it.
My step father like my mug cake and ended up finish the first mug by himself! I guarantee you, this recipe does work! Enjoy trying~ :)
